Software
Matlab is a required for the course. For those students who have not used it before, it can be learned relatively fast.
The guide Getting started with Matlab is available.
- Students who buy the student version of Matlab from the Mathworks for home use should also buy the Signal Processing Toolbox.
- Official Matlab documentation. All Matlab manuals are available in PDF format on this page.
Prerequisite
- EL 611, or solid knowledge of discrete-time signals and systems.
- The Schaum's outline of "Digital Signal Processing" by Monson Hayes serves as a good review of discrete-time signals and systems.
